Welcome to Crooked Sleeve Theatre Company

Welcome to Crooked Sleeve, we are a theatre company that works with Human Resources, Training and Education departments to create and deliver training sessions. Crooked Sleeve uses theatre as a tool base to engage and enrich existing or new training and development.

Any effective business knows that high quality staff training is vital to its long term growth, and sustainability. If used correctly, theatre creates an environment that allows staff to explore the real world issues that impact on our daily working lives. Crooked Sleeve is dedicated to providing a complete experience of entertainment and information that inspires thought, discussion and can help to bring about those important changes.

The assumption that learning is a process of information absorption- that the human brain is really a big sponge –tends to result in training methods built around the transmission of large volumes of content to the learner. Where this occurs at the expense of more discursive or experienced –based methods, there is a risk the learners will leave the experience “knowing that” but not “knowing how”.
